Who is Nicolas Montes de Oca?

Nicolas Montes de Oca is a professional circus performer specialized in hand balancing, known for a refined approach that combines high-level technique with movement and artistic expression. He holds eight Guinness World Records in hand balancing and has worked with Cirque du Soleil in two productions: ALIZÉ in Berlin and Axel on an international world tour. His work has been recognized at prestigious international circus festivals, including the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain, where he received the Jury Prize, and Cirque de Demain, where he was awarded First Prize. He trained at the Shanghai Circus School in China, ESAC (École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque) in Belgium, and the Kiev Circus Academy in Ukraine. Today, he teaches workshops and intensives worldwide, sharing his understanding of hand balancing through a methodology influenced by Chinese and Ukrainian techniques.
